Stories That Matter: A Kind of Spark

September Book Club | Grades 6–8

Join us for an inspiring three-session book club as we dive into A Kind of Spark by Elle McNicoll, a powerful story about courage, kindness, and discovering the strength to use your own voice.

Together, we'll explore what it means to embrace our differences, stand up for what we believe in, and create a world where everyone belongs. Through thoughtful discussion, creative activities, journaling, and meaningful conversation, girls will connect with one another while reflecting on themes that matter both in the story and in their own lives.

  • 📖 Read portions of A Kind of Spark together while engaging in thoughtful discussions in a welcoming, supportive environment.

  • ✍️ Reflect through guided journaling and meaningful conversation.

  • 🎨 Create themed crafts inspired by the novel.

  • 🌟 Explore themes of courage, empathy, advocacy, identity, and belonging.

  • 💚 Build friendships with other girls who love books and meaningful conversation.
