Meet Genevieve
I began my teaching career in 2001 as a middle school teacher, and I've never looked back. As the saying goes, when you know, you know. Middle school is my jam.
Over the past 25 years, I've had the privilege of teaching hundreds of middle school students, and I genuinely love everything that makes these years so unique, the growing independence, the awkward moments, the big emotions, the endless curiosity, and the incredible transformation that takes place between childhood and high school.
I founded Empower the Middle because I believe the middle school years deserve to be celebrated, not simply survived. Through literature, nature, creative experiences, and meaningful conversation, my goal is to help girls build confidence, curiosity, resilience, and lasting friendships while supporting families as they navigate this exciting stage of life.
Whether we're reading together beneath the trees at Forest Hill Park, exploring a new novel, or creating something inspired by nature, I hope every girl leaves feeling seen, encouraged, and empowered to become exactly who she is meant to be.
